About Me

The Story So Far...

I have spent most of my life in “business”, but for me, the satisfaction of being able to run a business and balance the books, was not enough.

I have always had an interest in health - I qualified as an Aromatherapist, I then completed my 2-year Bach Flower Registered Practitioner training and then qualified as a Homeopath.

In the background, I also did a lot of work in First Aid – setting up Initial Courses and Re-Qualifications, competing in First Aid Competitions and running a First Aid Newsletter for many years.  I still currently hold a Full St John First Aid Certificate and I was a qualified St John Ambulance First Aid Trainer at one point.

I got interested in Homeopathy over 20 years ago when diagnosed with Asthma, I had course after course of antibiotics and remember thinking “one day, these won’t work – what will I do then?”  So I started to look at alternatives – that started my Homeopathic journey!  I began my training with Marion Howie (one of our local Homeopaths who originally worked from Cold Norton) - I have a number of patients now who remember me from those days.

My 4-year Homeopathic training was with the prestigious Allen College of Homeopathy under the direction of Dr Subrata K Banerjea – a well renowned 4th generation Indian Homeopath.  I then completed a 2-year Post Graduate qualification with the Allen College and attend Summer School each year to update my CPD (Continual Professional Development).  This is alongside attending other CPD Courses in India, London and Ireland. I also attend regular supervision meetings.

In India I attended Post-Graduate training in Calcutta – seeing diseases that we never get to see in this country.  Even in the time I was out there you could see the remedy working.  In India, Homeopathy is the second most popular form of medicine.  In the UK, it was incorporated into the NHS by an Act of Parliament in 1948!

I am registered with the Society of Homeopaths and adhere to their Code of Practice.
